Today we received notification from Fr. Provincial Mark Weber of USC that an e-mail has been sent out in his name. Please see the attached file. NEVER SEND MONEY in response to such e-mails. Check first with the SVD named, either by e-mail or by telephone.

Today I have received two emails and one phone call – from Panama, Togo, and Kenya. Either the provincial or the provincial treasurer has received an email supposedly from me, asking to give sizeable amounts of money to a Sister. Three provinces have checked with me, but I imagine whoever is doing this has gotten more email addresses to send this. Is it possible to send out a warning to all provinces that this is a fraud, and NOT a legitimate email from me?
